Joan Patricia Parker

Parker, Joan P. passed away peacefully at The Lakes at Litchfield in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. Joan was born and raised in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan, New York. She was a graduate of Cathedral High School (1952). Her business career centered on the Insurance industry (18+ years).

Primarily a homemaker, Joan is survived by her husband of 58 years, James; sons James (Marie) of Newtown, Connecticut and John of Woodstock, Georgia; three Grandchildren: James, Michael, and Christine Parker; and her sister Deborah Coleman of New York City. Joan was pre-deceased by her parents John and Anne Kelly, and a sister, Mary Anne, all of New York City.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at the Williams Funeral Home, Bronx, New York. Joan will be buried at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, New York, 10532 following a ceremonial mass at the cemetery chapel on August 10, 2017 at 10 AM.
