Catherine Reilly

Catherine Virginia Reilly (nee Frisina), age 91, died peacefully with family at her bedside on Tuesday December 26. In her early years, Catherine worked for the federal government. When she married Thomas Reilly, she devoted her life to raising their six children, first in Washington Heights and later in the Bronx, NY. Catherine, one of nine children, was the youngest daughter, and last surviving child of Italian immigrants, who came to the United States in the early 1900’s. She is predeceased by her husband, Thomas and survived by sons Matthew, Peter, Thomas; daughter, Theresa (Terry) Winter; daughter, Jeanne Gilfedder and son-in-law, Mark; daughter, Maryann O’Shea and son-in-law, John. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Jason and Ryan O’Shea, and Megan, Chelsea and Lukas Winter, and two great-grandsons, Treston and Emmett O’Shea. Family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home, 5628 Broadway @ W. 232nd St, Bronx on Thursday 12/28 from 2-5 & 7-9 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, 12/29 @ 10:45 A.M. St. Margaret of Cortona Church, Riverdale, NY. Interment to follow at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY.
