New York, New York – Yuen Hing Yee, age 87, passed away peacefully in hospice care at the
New York Presbyterian Allen Hospital on May 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Toisan, Canton on September 29, 1937, she moved with her family to Hong Kong in
1949. Yuen Hing was the daughter of King Chun Chin (father) and York Ling Moy (mother).
Yuen Hing will be remembered for her boundless generosity, quiet strength, and deep devotion
to her family.
Yuen Hing devoted her life to being a loving wife, a devoted mother, a faithful daughter and
sister, and a dependable friend and neighbor. As a dedicated housewife and seamstress, she
worked tirelessly and selflessly to care for her family, always giving without asking for anything
in return. Her kindness and nurturing spirit touched everyone who knew her.
She married Jimmy (Mou Lun Tow) Yee, the love of her life, and together they built a warm and
loving home in Kingsbridge Heights/Bronx, New York for their five children: Darlene, Raymond,
Judy, Janice, and Richard. Yuen Hing took immense pride in supporting her children through
their educational and professional journeys, embodying the Chinese tradition of
multigenerational family life rooted in love, generosity, and resilience.
Yuen Hing found joy in simple acts of love—cooking for her family, sewing for her loved ones,
walking her children to/from elementary school, and offering a friendly greeting and helping
hand to many friends and neighbors. Her home was always open, her heart always full.
She is survived by her children, Darlene, Raymond, Judy, and Janice, as well as her siblings
Jossie, Ing Woo, Ling Ling, and Ken Ken, and numerous relatives, friends and neighbors who
cherished her deeply. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jimmy, her dear son
Richard, her sister Helen, her parents, and parents-in-law (Fung Wai Tow and Yik Yue Moy).
A memorial service celebrating Yuen Hing’s life was held at the Woodlawn Cemetery in the
Bronx, New York on May 31, 2025 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that
donations be made to the New York Presbyterian Allen Hospital (5141 Broadway, New York, NY
10034), in honor of her lifelong generosity and compassion.
Yuen Hing’s loving spirit and courageous heart will forever live on in those who were blessed to
know her. Rest in love and peace.
