Vivian Carmen Johnson
Born October 11, 1976 Transitioned October 2, 2022
Join us in honoring the blessed life of Vivian Carmen Johnson, lovingly known to her family and friends as “Bibi,” who was born on October 11, 1976 in the Bronx, New York, and who transitioned into the welcoming arms of her Heavenly Father on October 2, 2022 — just 9 days shy of her 46th birthday. Bibi is preceded in death by her father, Anthony Johnson; her beloved grandmother, Carmen Rivera, lovingly known as “Titi Carmín” to so many; her grandfather, José Rivera, also known as “Papi Joe;” her Tío José Rivera, Jr., lovingly remembered as “Ted;” and her Titi Lucy Rivera, lovingly remembered as “Cuca.” Bibi is survived by her devoted mother, Miriam Rivera, as well as her granddaughter — who was the light of her world! — Stelani Miriam Sánchez, the daughter of her beloved son, Steven Anthony Sánchez and Brittany Herrera. Bibi is also survived by her Tío Robert Rivera, her two sisters, Nicole Adderly Johnson and Avasheria Johnson, and her best friend, Kisha Doran. Bibi, as well, is survived by her loving fiancé, Eric Guzmán.
Bibi will always be remembered for the countless ways she touched and inspired those around her — for the lightness of her spirit, the generosity of her heart, the authenticity of her soul, and for the fierce way she protected those she cared for most. An accomplished and celebrated genius in the kitchen, Bibi loved to cook for her family and friends, and she sprinkled love liberally, as her secret ingredient, into every delectable dish after dish. But what those of us who knew and loved Bibi will remember most, is the sweet sincerity of her megawatt smile, which was bright enough to drive away any difficulty life would dare present and powerful enough to bring healing light into anyone who was blessed to bear witness to it. While we will miss Dear Bibi every day in this life... she will forever live in our hearts.
