VICENTE ARTURO MATEUS QUIÑONEZ

JUNE 8, 1953 - SEPT. 10, 2021

Vicente Arturo Mateus Quiñonez who was affectionately known by many of his family and close friends as Arturito, passed away unexpectedly on September 10, 2021. Arturo was born on June 8, 1953 in Güayaquil, Ecuador to Hugo Vicente Mateus Duarte and Ida del Carmen Quiñonez Anzoátegui.   He came to New York City with his mother and two sisters on April 6, 1975 and lived in Manhattan most of his life until he retired to Florida where he spend his last days in the company of Nancy Azucena, his oldest sister!

 Arturo is survived by his siblings Victor Hugo, Nancy Azucena, Luisa Susana, Tony Guillermo, Ida María, Nancy Elizabeth, his wife Rosana Galarza, his daughters Elizabeth Roció Mateus Cabeza & Nathalie Roxanne De Oliveira, his uncle Fonfredez David Quiñonez Anzoátegui & aunt Aracelly Elena Quiñonez Anzoátegui, cousins, nieces & nephews; Katiuska Mateus, Roy Mateus, Tanya Mateus, Jessica Mateus, David Romero, William Romero, Kenny Pedreira, Edison Prentice, Gabriela Prentice, Cristhian Mateus Alcivar, Stephanie Mateus Alcivar, Felix Martínez, Nicole Martínez, Anthony Galarza, Jordi Vasquez, and his grandchildren; Dalton Bruce Núñez Mateus, Joel Rubén Salazar Cabezas, LeAnne Grace De Oliveira, Augusto Albino De Oliveira III, his first great grandson Noah Emmanuel Nunez Villacreses and many loving friends.

Vicente Arturo Mateus Quiñonez, conocido cariñosamente por muchos de sus familiares y amigos cercanos como Arturito, falleció inesperadamente el 10 de septiembre de 2021. Arturo nació el 8 de junio de 1953 en Güayaquil, Ecuador de Hugo Vicente Mateus Duarte e Ida del Carmen Quiñonez Anzoátegui. Llegó a la ciudad de Nueva York con su madre y dos hermanas el 6 de abril de 1975 y vivió en Manhattan la mayor parte de su vida hasta que se retiró a Florida, pasó sus últimos días en compañía de Nancy Azucena, ¡su hermana mayor!

A Arturo le sobreviven sus hermanos Victor Hugo, Nancy Azucena, Luisa Susana, Tony Guillermo, Ida María, Nancy Elizabeth, su esposa Rosana Galarza, sus hijas Elizabeth Roció Mateus Cabeza y Nathalie Roxanne De Oliveira, su tío Fonfredez David Quiñonez Anzoátegui y su tía Aracelly Elena Quiñonez Anzoátegui, primos, sobrinos y sobrinas; Katiuska Mateus, Roy Mateus, Tanya Mateus, Jessica Mateus, David Romero, William Romero, Kenny Pedreira, Edison Prentice, Gabriela Prentice, Cristhian Mateus Alcivar, Stephanie Mateus Alcivar, Felix Martínez, Nicole Martínez, Anthony Galarza, Jordi Vasquez y sus nietos; Dalton Bruce Núñez Mateus, Joel Rubén Salazar Cabezas, LeAnne Grace De Oliveira, Augusto Albino De Oliveira III, su primer bisnieto Noah Emmanuel Nunez Villacreses y muchos amigos cariñosos.
