Timothy Francis Creedon (1945 – 2022)

With his family by his side, Timothy Francis (“Frank”) Creedon passed away on January 11th, 2022 in New York City at age 76. 

Frank was born in Gortnagown in County Kerry, Ireland in 1945 to Katherine and Denis Creedon. In 1963, he emigrated to New York where he became a carpenter and foreman with Glenn Partition and worked in building management. Settling in the Bronx in New York City he married his wife, Sheila Moynihan (also from Kerry), with whom he would build a beautiful family and life. Frank is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Sheila Moynihan Creedon, and by his four beloved children Tim, Nora, Katie and Eileen, and their spouses Lindsay Creedon and Matthew Lentz, as well as his brothers Den, Patrick and Sean, and his sister Mary Cahill. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren Luke, George, Grace, Tim, Nora, Mallory and Matthew. Known affectionately as “Poppy” by his grandchildren, Frank lived a life devoted selflessly and tirelessly to his family. He is remembered by all for his gentle and patient manner, welcoming persona and a great sense of humor.  He will be dearly missed.

A viewing will be held at William’s Funeral Home on Friday, January 14th from 3pm – 7pm in the Bronx. A funeral mass will be held at St. Margaret of Cortona in the Bronx on Saturday, January 15th at 10:45am.
