Odette Nicole Holodynski Kamlet, known to her friends as "Aude," was born near Paris on April 27, 1937. She died in New York on June 12, 2026. A talented painter and illustrator, Aude was the author of a number of books of sketches and watercolors depicting vignettes of places where she lived and visited, and the people and wildlife she encountered there.
Her illustrations were featured in Victoria magazine and in a cookbook, Amuse-Bouche, and her paintings have been exhibited in galleries near her part-time home in the Loire Valley. In 1960, in the Bronx, she married Dr. Jerome Kamlet, who survives her.
