Mary McNamara

Mary (Cummings) McNamara passed away on May 8, 2022. She is survived by her loving husband James, her two children Lauren and Kevin, and her brother Thomas Cummings. She was a sister to the late William Cummings. Mary was a sister-in-law of Michael and Eileen McNamara, William and Joann McNamara, Stephen and Jill McNamara, Patricia and the late James Hand, Noreen and James Madden, and the late Joan McNamara. She was an aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Mary enjoyed many summers at Rockaway and Bradley Beach with family and friends. She was an avid reader of novels, theatergoer, and explorer of gourmet recipes and new restaurants.  Mary was also passionate about travel and was often planning her next trip with her husband, whether it was a coast-to-coast trip in the States or a European excursion. In remembrance of Mary’s life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to City Harvest or Habitat for Humanity.
