John Hugh O'Brien

John Hugh O’Brien (Huey) age 85, of Bronx, New York, devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend, passed away on May 9, 2024 on the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord surrounded by his loving family. Hugh was born on May 18, 1938 in Carrickfad, Manorhamilton, County Lietrim to Annie and Ted O’Brien and immigrated to New York in 1960. 

Beloved husband to late Catherine “Cis” O’Brien. He is survived by his two daughters, Helen Sullivan and her husband, Paul Sullivan and Ann Magee and her husband, Kevin Magee. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Megan, Aidan, Ryan and James.  Hugh is survived by his loving sisters, Patty, Mary, Gaye, Teresa and brothers, Seamus and Kevin. He was predeceased by his brothers, Terence, Gerald and Desmond O’Brien.
