Jimmy (Mou Lun Tow) Yee

New York, New York – With deep sorrow and reverence, the family of Jimmy (Mou Lun Tow)
Yee announces his passing on May 28, 1992, just days before his 57 th birthday. Born on June 2,
1935, Jimmy passed away suddenly from a heart attack at home, held in the loving arms of his
devoted wife, Yuen Hing Yee, with whom he shared a life of commitment and enduring love.
Jimmy was the beloved son of Fung Wai Tow and Yik Yue Moy, and the cherished brother of six
sisters: Yook Loon Tow, Vivian Yook Ong Tow, Yook Young Tow, Phyllis Yook Boy Tow, Yook Ting
Tow, and Yook Ping Tow. Raised with strong traditional values, Jimmy carried a deep sense of
filial duty, humility, perseverance, and respect for family throughout his life.
Jimmy devoted much of his working life to the family restaurant business, an industry defined
by long hours, resilience, and service to community. His family once owned and operated a
restaurant in Manhattan, a source of pride and livelihood, which was later taken through
eminent domain for construction of the Jacob Javits Convention Center. Despite this loss,
Jimmy endured with quiet strength, placing the well-being of his family above all else.
Jimmy met his beloved wife, Yuen Hing, in Hong Kong, and together they built a life founded on
mutual devotion, shared sacrifice, and unwavering partnership. After settling in the Bronx, they
raised their five children in a home grounded in discipline, education, and moral character.
Jimmy believed deeply in the importance of learning, honest work, and personal integrity,
values that shaped his family’s future.
Known to those closest to him as gentle, steady, and dependable, Jimmy was a man whose
strength was expressed through responsibility rather than words. He offered guidance through
example and comfort through presence, earning the respect of all who knew him.
Jimmy is survived by his devoted wife, Yuen Hing Yee, and their children Darlene, Raymond,
Judy, Janice and Richard Yee. His legacy endures through his loving family, whose lives continue
to reflect the principles he lived by.
Though his life was cut short, Jimmy Yee will be remembered with honor as a devoted husband,
loving father, loyal son, and caring brother. His memory lives on through the sacrifices he made
and the family he nurtured, and will be forever remembered with love and respect by all.
