Jeremiah Michael Dorney

Jeremiah (Jerry) Michael Dorney, 80, of Yonkers, N.Y. entered into God’s kingdom on June 11, 2024.  He was born on December 17, 1943, to Owen and Josephine Dorney in the Bronx, N.Y.  Jerry was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather and is survived by his children, Christine (Tariq), Sheila, Brian and grandchildren Owen, Patrick, Ava and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  He is pre-deceased by his wife, JoAnn; sons Michael and Thomas and his brother Eugene.  Jerry was a FDNY fireman and fire marshal in his 31 year career.  He retired in 2001 from the New York City Fire Department. Jerry was also part owner of Dorney and Malones from 1980 to 2011.  Jerry was kind, loyal and so generous to those around him.  He had a great sense of humor and was a friend to all who knew him.
