On Friday 8/18/23 “Jimmy” made his journey upward to the angels, family and friends awaiting. A protector by nature and a man of strong conviction; he was known to say to predeceased loved ones and now to us” this is not goodbye but until till we meet again”. Jimmy was well versed and loved all things religion, philosophy, history and shooting the breeze. As he went through life, he was a consummate observer and will give advice acknowledging that as humans we are still at the mercy of the mysteries of God’s creation. A master repairman he retired from NY Lenox Hill Hospital as an esteemed maintenance supervisor It was there that he met and married his soulmate Florence in 1977. They were blessed to have health and opportunity to travel, laugh, and enjoy the music and food of the Caribbean Islands. He is survived by his loving wife Florence, her sons, brother-in law, his baby sister Carmen, daughter Maria and granddaughters, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and a host of dear friends, neighbors and pub buddies. Jimmy leaves us with many life lessons of survival and love instilled by his mother Doris (deceased) and shared as an older brother with his sister and brother Albert (deceased) who finally he gets to hug again. Join us in prayer, celebrating his life and remembering his smile, his good intentions and the good times.
