George Kaperonis immigrated to New York at the age of 23, carrying little more than ambition,
discipline, and a fierce work ethic. Over time, he rose to become a pillar of the restaurant
industry, building a legacy through passion and perseverance. For over 56 years, he proudly
owned and operated the renowned Riverdale Diner, which became a gathering place for
countless families and friends.
Beyond business, George was a man of heart. A tireless supporter of his community, he gave
generously to those in need and never turned away anyone seeking help. His kindness, integrity,
and unwavering dedication to family made him a true role model.
He was the heart of his household, a loyal husband, a loving father, a doting grandfather, and a
friend to all.
His presence will be deeply missed. His memory will forever live on in the lives he touched.
May his memory be eternal
