Elsa Vacanti

Elsa Vacanti (Walther), née Ramos, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026, in the Bronx, New York, at the age of 83. Born on November 9, 1942, in Puerto Rico, Elsa brought fun and love to all who knew her throughout her life.

Elsa was a vibrant and young-spirited woman at heart. She had an infectious love for life and a natural ability to connect with people. Her laughter was contagious, and made her a cherished presence among friends and family alike. Elsa loved to socialize and found immense joy in spending time with others. Whether singing karaoke, dancing the night away, or simply enjoying good conversation, she embraced every moment of life.

A lover of nature, Elsa enjoyed taking long walks outdoors, finding peace and beauty in the world around her. She also had a deep appreciation for the holidays, delighting in decorating her home and creating festive memories for those she held dear. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy; she adored Vincent and Anjanette with all her heart and treasured every moment spent with them.

Elsa’s faith was an important part of her life. A spiritual woman who believed deeply in prayer and Our Lord Jesus, she found strength and solace in her beliefs. Her faith guided her through life’s challenges and inspired those around her.

Elsa is survived by her beloved children—Shereen, Robert, and Sabrina—who will forever cherish the love and protection she gave to them. She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren, Vincent and Anjanette, whom she adored beyond measure.

Elsa’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and connection. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. May her spirit continue to inspire joy and kindness in all who remember her.
