Celebration of Life
Elizabeth Owens
AKA Velvet
Elizabeth Owens was born on September 26, 1959 to the late Joe Owens and Betty R. Reeves at Queens General Hospital in Queens, N.Y. Elizabeth grew up in Brooklyn, N.Y. She held several jobs but the job she adore the most was being the voice of vocal N.Y. Elizabeth was a very loving person and enjoyed helping others. Her personality was direct but to know her is to love her no matter what life you led or race. How you came to meet her at the moment you was excepted as a part of her inner family. On Saturday, September 19, 2020 my beloved sister departed. This life she left behind her mother Betty Owens, as well two sisters Willie Mae Owens, Cynthia Owens, her brother Adbul Kareem Muhammed, her niece Bernice Green/ Nene, nephew Jerome Ford, Jeffery Owens and hosts of nieces and nephews and great grandnephews and grandnieces.
We will miss you deeply. Her favorite quotes " Thank you for coming to work and don't forget to make the donuts"
In grateful Appreciation:
The family of the late Elizabeth Owens AKA Velvet Thank you for your thoughtfulness
My angel in the sky each day I look to heaven
each day I call your name
each day just feels so different it hasn't been the same
each day I always question
I often wonder why you had to go away from me.
