Caroline Diamond

Caroline Diamond (nee Marra), beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at the age of 77.

Born and raised in The Bronx, NY on January 10, 1948, Caroline was the daughter of Anthony and Anna Marra. Marrying in 1964, she left NY and traveled the world with her then-husband, who was an Airman in the United States Airforce. During this time, she also gave birth to her 3 children, Ray (Ray-Ray), Caroline, and Toni. Upon her return to NY, Caroline was employed as a Mailroom Clerk at the University of Mount Saint Vincent for 15 years, as well as various other jobs, where she made many close friends. Caroline loved spending time with loved ones, cooking, and traveling to new places. A life-long Catholic, she also enjoyed attending weekly Mass.

Caroline touched the lives of all who were lucky enough to have known her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. She possessed a warm and infectious laugh and smile that will be deeply missed.

Caroline was preceded in death by her father and mother, brother, Pasquale (Patty), son, Raymond J. Sloan, Jr, and former husband, Raymond J. Sloan, Sr. She is survived by her brother, Anthony Jr (Ann), sister, Mary, daughter, Caroline Sloan-Sutton (Kurt), daughter, Toni Sloan-Riley (Chris), 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, a nephew and niece, as well as many great-nephews and nieces.

A memorial service will be held in NY in June of this year, date and venue to be determined.
