Betty Joyce Abner

Betty J. Abner, born on July 28, 1939, in Alabama, passed away on April 21, 2026, in the Bronx, New York. Betty lived her adult life in New York, where she was dedicated to civil service work and her faith in God. She was a devoted church member and found great comfort and joy in reading and teaching the Bible.

Betty is one of nine siblings and will be remembered for her unwavering faith, strength, and love she shared with her family and friends. Her memory will be cherished by her son, Gary Brown; daughter-in-law, Esther Brown; and her beloved grandchildren, Alyssa, Hunter, Caterina, and Mason Brown.

A memorial service is scheduled for May 30, 2026 from 6pm-8pm at Williams Funeral Home Inc. in the Bronx, NY.
