Ann Parson Obituary

On October 11th ,1941 Ann Parson was born in Clarendon County. South Carolina to James Frierson and Elease Ballard Frierson. She was the 3rd oldest, and the only girl of their seven children together. She had six brothers and two older half sisters. (Rosie, Ada, James Jr., Hugh, William, O'Henry, Joseph, and Eugene)
Ann received her primary and secondary education in Summerton, SC and graduated Valedictorian of the Class of 1960 from Scotts Branch High School. Upon her graduation, she moved to New York City with the intent of working. On December 24th in 1960, Ann married her High School sweetheart Purdy Parson also of Clarendon County. From that union four children were born.
Ann's father passed away, but before he died, he told his wife and daughter to join him regularly in listening to the 'Church of God' radio show. James Frierson found comfort in the radio show and told his wife Elease and daughter Ann, that if they ever found this said 'Church of God' they should attend.
After his death, Elease came to NYC and found this church and along with Ann they both joined and were baptized into the 'Church of God' where they remained faithful until their passing. She will be remembered as God fearing, and obedient to her faith.
Ann worked a host of clerical positions throughout her life until she retired from the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office.

Ann Parson was proceeded in death by both parents, four brothers, two half sisters, and a Grandson (Lawrence Parson). Ann passed away on November 8th, 2022.
