Ann "Annie" Chambers

Ann “Annie” Chambers born in Bellaghy Co. Derry, Ireland passed suddenly and peacefully into eternal life.  Loving wife of the late Jim Chambers, beloved mother to Margaret, Clare (John), James (Anne), and the late Finola. Loving sister to Brigid, Joe, and the late Daniel, Patrick, Tim, Dick, Bill, Bernie, Eileen, Mary. Adored grandmother of Annmarie, Noreen (Liam), Tara (Wes), Michael, and James. Great Grandmother to Declan, Liam, Hannah, Brendan, John, and Charlie. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by a wide circle of friends. Family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home, Inc at 5628 Broadway, at West 232nd Street, Bronx, on Friday June 10 from 2pm-8pm. Mass of Christian burial, St. Barnabas Church (Main – Martha Ave), Saturday June 11th, 11:45 am. The mass can also be viewed virtually on St. Barnabas' Church Facebook page.

The world lost a wonderful person yesterday, and we will never be the same without Ann “Annie” Chambers in our lives. Ann was a long time resident of Kingsbridge. She was known as Mom, Nanny, Aunt Annie, Nanny Chambers and the queen of Bailey. She was loved by all around her both near and far. Ann was 89 years young who was an independent woman who did what she loved, when she wanted. The Chambers door was always open for everyone near and far. Ann was a proud Irish woman who loved her Irish heritage. She is well known for her hospitality, love for her hometown Bellaghy, Co. Derry, lovely dinners, jokes, sing songs, bingo, and the casino slots. She was loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
