Ana Mercedes Soltiz

Ana Mercedes Soltiz was born on July 2, 1977 in Caguas, Puerto Rico to mother Sonia Martinez and father Jose A. Ortiz, Jr.  Having grown up an Army brat, she lived in many different places such as Tennessee, Texas, Hawaii, and Germany in addition to New York.  As an adult she had the opportunity to study abroad in Italy for a month.  She was able to enjoy fun trips to Belize and Mexico.

Ana passed away on June 18, 2022; however, she will live on forever in the hearts of her family and friends.  Her mother was told that she would only live until 30 years old since she was born with congenital heart disease, but this petite little warrior made it to age 44.  Ana’s vivacious personality and boisterous laugh left an impact on anyone she came into contact with.  She loved deeply and truly lived and did not let her condition get in the way of anything she wanted to do.  She was determined and an amazing dreamer. 

Ana Mercedes Soltiz is survived by her wife Carmen Soltiz, mother Sonia, father Jose, and siblings Jose, Melody, Michelle, Israel, and Bethany, shell baby Mr. Jangles and fur baby Rocky as well as her nieces and nephews.
