Althea Ramsey

Althea Ramsey was born on December 25th, 1948 to the late Donald and Rubell Ramsey. Althea departed this life and entered her heavenly home on March 22nd, 2022 at Lenox Hill Hospital. She told her son Gregsean “ I have fought a good fight and I am leaving the rest to God.” Althea began her education at Southern Senior School. She continued her education at Carver High School in Delray Beach Florida where she resided with her brother and his family. This is where her foundation started with serving the Lord. Althea then traveled to New York and settled in with her family along with her son Sheldon. She began her career at Harlem Hospital where she served many and was a dedicated worker. She cared for and helped everyone who entered the doors of the hospital. During this time her youngest son, Gregsean was born to her whom she cherished and loved very dearly. She attended Bronx National Church Of God. She was the youth director for 12 years. Ms. Ramsey worked dedicatedly with the youths teaching the word of God and preaching the gospel. Ms. Ramsey was ordained in 2019 to Evangelist Althea Ramsey. She was dedicated to her duties of preaching. Ramsey was a soldier for the Lord with everything that she did. We will miss her dearly. Althea leaves behind to mourn her two sons Gregsean Turner and Sheldon Smalls (Rosa), her grandchildren Andromeda, Rochelle, and Sheldon Jr. She also leaves behind her four siblings Patricia, Micheal (Sabrina), Rudon, and Elder Daniel Ramsey (Eleanor), and a list of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, friends, and her church family at Bronx National Church Of God. Evangelist Ramsey will be sorely missed but will remain in our hearts forever. Rest in Peace.
