Sean Reynolds, born in the Bronx on November 27, 1946 to Anne (Fleming) and Jim Reynolds, slipped away into the next room, as the Irish say, on March 24, 2019 to the music of Emmylou Harris and the Rolling Stones. Sean grew up in Highbridge, was a member of Fordham Prep’s legendary Class of 1964 and an honorary member of Iona’s Class of 1968. He worked as a respiratory therapist at St. Vincent’s Hospital during the AIDS crisis and retired from Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center.
Sean, a lifelong New Yorker, loved being a grandfather to Donovan, Ozzie and Kayleigh, bonding with his former wife Fay over their three wonderful grandchildren, attending Rangers games with his sons Michael (Karoline) and Sean (Jennie), drinking fine wine, meeting old friends, watching TCM movies, traveling to Ireland, growing mustaches of all shapes, listening to music, reading poetry, cheering for the Mets, and taking care of cats. He missed his brother Dick who predeceased him and enjoyed long rambling conversations with his sister Pat.
“How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting, when we meet again.”
His family and friends will gather to remember Sean on Saturday, April 6, from noon – 3, at Williams Funeral Home, 5628 Broadway, Bronx, NY.
