Fanny R. Lopez

Fanny Lopez passed away on July 18, 2017 after a hard-fought battle with Stage Four Cancer and Alzheimer’s. Fanny was born in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico and came to New York at the age of sixteen. On October 20, 1962, she married Luis Lopez and together they had two children, Louis and Lynne. She was known in the Kingsbridge community for over forty years, as she was very active in church and was an administrative assistant at St. John’s Elementary School. She leaves behind five grandchildren, Mariah, Louie, Alanis, Gregory, and Lucas. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends. The services will be held at Williams Funeral Home (5628 Broadway Bronx, New York 10463) on July 20, 2017 from 2-5 and from 7-9. The mass will be held at St. Johns Church (3143 Kingsbridge Avenue Bronx, NY 10463) on July 21, 2017 at 10am
